Where does our help come from? A Kristi Kreme Post.

This world is tough. Raising children in this world is really tough. As Christian homeschoolers, we strive to protect and train our children in God’s ways.  We want our children to become all that God has for them to be, and we guide them towards becoming godly and mature young men and ladies.
Training children in this day and age is far from easy. We are in a competition with the ways of the world.  There are so many distractions, good and bad, that can get in the way and cause us to lose our focus.
As parents, we can get distracted by ministries at our church. We can get distracted with our jobs and careers. We can easily lose our focus when stress gets us down. This stress can come from financial problems, health problems, relationship struggles, and many other stress factors.
It can be so easy to let life’s worries get in the way of leading our children in the path that God has for them. As moms, we have many ‘job titles’ that require our time and attention. It is important for us to be organized and to focus on the most important task first, and let the unimportant things slide.
We can sometimes be discouraged when we don’t see the fruit in our children that we have tried so hard to cultivate. So it’s very crucial that we daily spend time with the Lord, and receive His filling, His strength, and His wisdom for the day. Without His guidance, we are like ships in the wind, floundering around and tossed by the waves of life.

 Till next week… Kristi.
