Kristi Kreme Wednesday

Ok, so it's the middle of the week. The day when you wonder how you will ever make it to the end of the week and you are looking for some inspiration. A little sugar surge to help you get over the slump.

We sure know how that feels!

So we present to you our Kristi Kreme Posts. The virtual donut of encouragement and inspiration to get you through the week.

This exciting new development for this blog will be brought to you by Kristi Brantley, a member at www.EAHLive.com. Kristi will be bringing us weekly encouragement and motivation, drawing on her own personal experiences.

What a great way to learn!

Kristi is a very successful home school Mum and Entrepreneur who has made it happen while staying at home and building a succesful future for her family.

In her own words here is a little background …

After the birth of my first child, Stan, I really wanted to stay home with him instead of returning to the work force. Stan captured my heart and changed my life. When he was six months old, an opportunity presented itself that I couldn’t resist.

A good friend of mine was pregnant and needed someone to come in every other week to do her house work. She had risky pregnancies, and her doctor wanted her  to really take it easy. Once I started cleaning her house, other cleaning jobs made their way to my schedule.

I started taking my baby with me to each cleaning job. My husband has always worked a full time job, and I didn’t want to leave my children with anyone else.

It wasn’t always the quickest way to clean a house, but it worked nicely.

Over time, we were blessed with two other boys, Tyler and Trey. I continued my cleaning service, sometimes with three or four cleaning jobs a week. Since the boys were always with me, I carried all kinds of baby and toddler stuff in my car.

I usually brought a blanket, baby seat, walker and a various assortment of toys.

Nursing my babies made it easy when they were hungry while I was cleaning.

And we always had extra snacks for the older ones.

Looking back, I feel very blessed to have been able to supplement our income while still home schooling our boys and keeping a strong relationship with each one of them.

The boys are now 13, 16 and 19. Having grown up helping their Mom clean houses, they are each very proficient at housework and have made a good deal of money themselves.
